| Abstract: | Nowadays, when it refers to the Conceptual blending thesis (CBT), most of linguists and scholars mainly focus on its introduction or its relation with metaphor and metonymy, however, seldom of them use this thesis to discuss the problems and the phenomenon on the space of tense and aspect. This thesis will explore the deep motivation of the creation of the perfective progressive (PPA) aspect by employing the experiential viewpoint of cognitive linguistics and the CBT as the guide. |
