| Abstract: | The essay, based on a brief comparative study of the main features between Chinese and English poetry, aims to reply to such questions as ＂Is it possible to translate poetry from Chinese into English or vice versa and which is a better alternative of poetry translation, in prose form or in verse form＂ and focuses with examples and analyses on the explanation of ＂beauty in image, in rime and in shape＂ theory initiated by Prof. Xu Yuan Chong. |
