| 摘 要： | 在简单介绍了什么是Z39.50协议，以及该协议在国外的产生、发展情况后，重点阐述了该协议 在图书馆自动化系统中应用的方面，提出在目前情况下，更多的应用是在客户端，客户端Z39.50协议功能的 使用是系统选型时首先需要考虑的问题，同时对选择新系统时应注意的其它方面也提出了建议。

And it analyzed the protocol application in the modern library information management system. 239. 50 client is more important and more necessary for most Chinese libraries.
