| Abstract: | The Confucian filial piety has its root tracing back long, for it had not only a far-reaching influence on the feudalist patriarchal clan system, but it also has its righteous reason and objective inevitability for its existence in the modern society. Therefore, the study of the merits and flaws of the Confucian filial piety and the developing of the former and the discarding of the latter may produce an active effect on the strengthening of socialist ideological and moral construction, the constructing of modern scientific family ethic, and the promoting of the development of a harmonious society. |
