| Abstract: | There are three different theories in academic circles concerning the date of composition of Li Shangyin's Two Untitled poems.These dates are:the 5th year of Dazhong(851 AD),the 6th year of Huichang(846 AD)and the 4th year of Kaicheng(839 AD).This paper investigates the poet's life,the places where he has lived and travelled,and the meanings of certain words in the poem,and concludes that the poem was composed in the 4th year of Kaicheng. |
