| Abstract: | The use of English phrasal verbs is rather complicated. This article starts with the history of phrasalverbs and the terminology used, and then deals with its constitution and use, its grammar classification, the literal usage and the idiomatic usage as well as the 6 types of phrasal verbs. The author hopes this article can be helpful for English learners who want to understand and grasp English phrasal verbs as a whole. |
