论外国品牌名称的中文翻译原则

摘    要:本文根据国内外品牌命名的特点,从商业利益角度出发,归纳出外国品牌名称中文翻译的四大原则:易读易记原则、顾名思义原则、思维顺应原则和民族情感顺应原则,指出在总体不违反的情况下,突出某一个或多个原则,译出优秀的品牌名称,从而获得品牌最大的效应。

Abstract:According to the characteristics of domestic and foreign brand naming, from the aspect of commercial interests, this paper sums up four principles in the Chinese translation of foreign brand names: the principle of easy-reading and easy-remembering, the principle of name implication, the principle of thought adjustment and the principle of national emotion conformance. It points out that the translators should try to give top priority to one or more of the principles, not violate these principles in general, and ultimately translate outstanding brand names, which eventually obtains the greatest brand effect.
