| Abstract: | Proceeding from the division of labor based on the study of meaning in semantics and pragmatics,the essay analyzes Grice's theory of non-natural meaning and probes into its relationship with the theory of conversational implication,indicating that their presentation has not only brought about a vigorous advance in pragmatics but made a great contribution to the world study of it as well. |
