| 摘 要： | 作为中西文化交流的先行者,赛珍珠的作品《大地》不仅引起了西方对中国的关注,而且改变了19世纪以来西方流行的反面的中国形象。围绕着王龙与土地的关系,赛珍珠揭示了农民的生命源于土地这一永恒主题。她试图向她的读者证明:只要愿意接受,人类是存在着广泛的共性的。尽管她对中国农村社会的描写不乏偏颇之处,她在中西文化交流方面所起的历史作用是不容忽视的。

| Abstract: | Pearl Buck, by "The Good Earth", not only attracts the westerners' attention on China, but also changes the negative images of Chinese long existing in their minds. Focusing on the relationships between Wang Long and the land, she shows that farmers thrive on land. She tries to prove that there are similarities in humankind. Although she sometimes is not true to the Chinese realities, we can't ignore her role in the history of cultural communication . |
