| 摘 要： | 早期中英关系主要是商业上的，但在中英贸易中存在着诸多的冲突与矛盾，主要集中在：广州一口通商制度、行商制度、海关税课制度、外商管理制度。18世纪80年代以后，英国政府开始出面保护在华商人，遣使访华与中国政府进行直接交涉，并明确提出与中国订立条约的目标，企图将对华关系置于条约的基础之上。但是18世纪中英之间的冲突并不是纯粹的商业冲突，而是两种不同经济理念、不同经济体系、不同世界观和文明现的冲突，并且具有深刻的政治意义。这在很大程度上决定了早期中英关系的条约化必然失败。

| Abstract: | The early Sino-British relations are mainly commercial, but there are many conflicts and contradictions in Sino-British trade, which mainly concentrate on: the system of the only trade at Guangzhou port, Hang merchants system, customs tax system, foreign merchants' management system. After the eighties of the 18th century, the British government began to protect its merchants in China. It sent an to China, who directly negotiated with Chinese government, and clearly put forward the goal of signing a treaty with China, attempted to put the Sino-British relations on the basis of a treaty. But the conflicts between China and Britain are not the pure commercial conflicts in the 18th century, they are the conflicts of two different economic ideas, different economic systems, different civilization views and world outlooks. The conflicts have also deep political meanings. This has to a great extent determined that the attempting to put the early Sino-British relations on the basis of a treaty must fail. |
