| Abstract: | The English version of Lu Xun's story Feng Bo translated by Yang Xian-yi and Gladys Yang is entitled Storm In A Teacup(called Yang's version for short),and that translated by Julia Lovell(named Lan Shi-ling in Chinese) is entitled A Passing Storm(called Lan's version for short).On the basis of nine typical examples taken from the above-mentioned two English texts,the authors conduct a contrastive study on the English language used in their translations,and discuss their strengths and weaknesses. |
