| Abstract: | Quality is the key to the development of open distance education. If the issue of quality is not addressed, the prospect for the development of open distance education will be poor. Therefore, quality is of great significance. The concept of quality must be firmly grasped to adopt more scientific, pertinent and applicable quality assurance measures. Only in doing so could open distance education find a foothold in the large system of education and become an indispensable part of diversified higher education system of the whole country. The paper probes into how to understand concept of quality in open distance education and how to strengthen quality assurance measures so as to promote the sound development of ODL. |
