| Abstract: | Language importance of and its culture are inseparable. Based on this fact, the authors have dealt with the English cultural knowledge in promoting the listening comprehension of non-English majors in colleges and universities by using Professor Wang Chuming＇ s Compensation Hypothesis. Furthermore, how to make a compensation for English cultural knowledge of the students is also discussed in the paper. |
