摘    要:弗格森认为,生态危机的加剧使宇宙的来源与最终命运问题备受关注。大爆炸理论和新老进化论也许能够对宇宙万物“怎么来”与“怎么演化”作出某种合理的解释,但其解释却必须以世界的既定存在为前提,而对世界为什么存在而不是不存在,以及为什么进化是向着高级而不是低级方向运动,这类解释更不能有所作为。将宇宙的存在看作一个纯然之事实的学说虽非毫无道理,但这样一来,人类生存意义的根基则告丧失。科学末世论虽为人类未来描绘出了美好的图景,却不能给现在活着的人以任何希望。对这些问题基督宗教创世说及末世论皆给出建设性回应。

Abstract:Furgeson maintains that the tension of the ecological crisis strengthens man's concern of the origin and final outcome of cosmos. The Big Bang Theory and Evolution Theory are of some help in explaining "how" the world came into being and are evolving upon the presupposition that the world is in actual existence, but they are of no use in explaining why the world is in instead of out of existence and evolution goes to the advanced levels instead of the low ones. It stands to some reason that cosmos is an absolute being, but the absolute aim of mankind becomes rootless by reason of that theory. Although the scientific eschatology describes an ideal picture of man's future, yet it shows no promise of any hope for the living people. The creation-from-nothing theory of Christianity and Eschatology give constructive answers to all those questions.
