摘    要:广告英语运用修辞的目的,旨在鼓动消费者采取购买行为,在广告如林的时代,为使自己的广告惹人注目。广告撰稿人常使用的修辞手段包括:比喻,拟人,夸张,对比,双关等。

Abstract:The role of rhetorical art in advertisement English can be summarized into stimulating consumption and boosting demand. The figure of speech in advertising English is used to attract consumers' attention. The main rhetorical devices include simile, personification, hyperbole, contrast, pun and so on. This paper explores the functions of the figures of speech in advertising English by using many examples in practice.
