| 摘 要： | 英汉诗歌传统各有自身审美取向，因此“意境”在汉诗为“美”而在英诗则未必。本文依据近年相关文献，从思维模式、哲学理念、审美传统以及语言文字特点等方面，概括其间差异及其根源，探究目前条件下汉诗“意境”英译籍而走向世界的主要障碍，认为目前汉诗“意境”的传译的可接受性主要受限于某些观念差异，而观念属后天形成，是可以改变的，译文读者也并非仅是被动接受译作信息，因此观念差异并不能否定“意境”传译的可能性，更不能否定其所具有的传播原语文化、影响译语读者价值观念的重大意义。
