| 摘 要： | 美国著名汉学家宇文所安在《中国文论:英译与评论》一书中对中国古代文论进行了英译和跨文化阐释,该书反映了西方学者在西方思想背景下对中国古代文论的认识和理解。基于此,节选该书关于《诗大序》中两段文字的翻译和阐释,讨论比较诗学视野里诗歌的功用和分类。通过详细地比较和对比,找出英译中国文论的优点与不足,继而对中西文论有更深刻的认识。

| Abstract: | Stephen Owen,the famous American sinologist,translates Chinese ancient literary thought and elaborates it cross-culturally in Readings in Chinese Literary Thought,which reflects general western scholars’ understanding about Chinese ancient literary thought. Taking his two paragraphs as examples which translate and explain The Great Preface to the Book of Songs,this essay discusses the function and classification of poetry from the perspective of comparative poetics. Through detailed comparison and contrast,the essay finds out the excellence and shortcomings of the English translation of Chinese literary theories,and forms deeper understanding about Chinese and western literary theories. |
