告孟“不动心”中之“言”的区分

摘    要:告子以“不得于言,勿求于心”的方式达成“不动心”境界,然孟子认为“知言”才是正道。其实二人所说的“言”均指他人思想言论,内涵一致,并非在言的内容或主体上存有分殊,根本不同在于他们对待言的方式,即告子是以外义判言,孟子是以心知言。

Abstract:According to Gaozi,one should not resort to one's will if he can not defeat others with words.Only in this way,can he get the "tranquility of mind".While Mencius thought "to understand the words" is the right way.The difference lies in the different ways that they treat "words": On one hand,Gaozi judged "words" on the basis of meanings;on the other hand,Mencius understood "words" through mind.
