| Abstract: | Code-switching plays a critical role in ESL classroom teaching in higher vocational education, falling in improving students＇ mastery of English skills. The paper discusses the theoretical basis of Code-switching and proposes that ESL teacher in higher vocational college should be more conscious and purposeful while using switching codes and avoid unnecessary code- switching in order to enhance the class performance. |
