Preparation of nano powder by DC arc plasma technology and applications
Abstract:DC arc plasma is in the electric field,free electrons present in the gas by the electric field acceleration,its velocity(kinetic energy) reaches a certain value,the neutral atoms or molecules are ionized and get more free electrons,to further accelerate these electrons stimulate other neutral particles similar to the phenomenon of avalanche ionization process,resulting in the formation of gas-discharge plasma.By use of high-temperature plasma(up to 3000K-30000K) to melt metal and evaporate to form gaseous metal atoms,and then cooled gaseous metal atoms to form nano metal powder.This article describes the preparation of nano powder DC arc plasma equipment systems construction,analysis of Ar,H2,N2,etc.,as the plasma gas properties and role,and describes the DC arc plasma technology application fields.The introduction of the unit’s DC arc plasma equipment and look forward to its non-ferrous metal processing in Guangxi’s application prospect.
