一类平面UHF RFID抗金属标签天线的设计

摘    要:针对超高频(ultra-high frequency,UHF)射频识别(radio-frequency identification,RFID)标签天线在物流领域中的实际应用,设计一类可工作于金属表面的平面UHF RFID标签天线。此标签天线由辐射贴片、弯折开路短截线、介质基板和金属接地板组成,不需要短路墙或短路通孔将辐射贴片与接地板相连,更易于加工。与常用的直开路短截线结构相比,采用弯折开路短截线结构不仅可以对标签天线的阻抗进行更有效的调节,而且能够显著地减小辐射贴片的尺寸。利用曲流技术原理在辐射贴片上开槽,实现天线的小型化。仿真结果表明,此标签天线(尺寸为20 mm×80.5 mm×2 mm)阻抗匹配良好,而且将其置于20 cm×20 cm的金属表面上,实测得到其最大阅读距离可达到为9 m。与其他标签天线相比,此类天线具有阅读距离远、尺寸小、结构简单和成本低等优点,有潜在的实际应用前景。

Design of planar UHF RFID anti metal tag antennas

Abstract:Aiming at the practical application of ultra high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antennas in the field of logistics, a planar UHF RFID tag antenna that can work on a metal surface is designed. Its planar structure, which is composed of a radiation patch, a bent open circuited stub, a dielectric substrate and a metal ground plane, is easier to be fabricated since a short circuited wall or a short circuited through hole through the radiation patch to the ground plane is not needed. Compared with a commonly used straight open circuited stub, the bent one can be employed not only to adjust the impedance of the tag antenna more effectively but also to reduce the dimensions of the radiation patch markedly. By the principle of meander technology, a slot is cut on the radiation patch to miniaturize the antenna. Simulation results show that the impedance matching of the tag antenna (20 mm×80.5 mm×2 mm) is good, and its maximum reading distance on a metal surface of 20 cm×20 cm can reach 9 m. Compared with other tag antennas, the designed antenna has potential application prospects since it has some advantages of large reading distance, small dimensions, simple structure and low cost.
