| Abstract: | By citing translated definitions of proper nouns from eight chosen English-Chinese dictionaries,this paper,based on the theories of translation strategies,domesticating translation and foreignizing translation,and functions and purposes of bilingual dictionary compilation,makes an attempt to probe into translation strategies applied to bilingual dictionary translation. |
