| Abstract: | Richard E. Mayer is one of the outstanding experts in the field of Educational psychology. This paper reviews his academic career and contributions, discusses his main contribution to the cognitive theory of multimedia learning, Design Principle of multimedia learning and practice innovation, and analyses the defects in his idea. It is also mentioned that the thoery and the research method of Mayer is a special enlightenment to Educational Technology in China. |
