| 摘 要： | 通过对劳伦斯作品女性人物 ,《儿子与情人》中的莫瑞尔夫人、米丽安·利弗斯、克拉拉·道斯 ,以及《虹》和《恋爱中的妇女》中厄秀拉·布莱温的分析 ,可发现劳伦斯通过对小说中女性人物的塑造 ,试图表现在现代社会中 ,由于违反自然与自然本性 ,人们受到假象的蒙蔽 ,生命力遭到削弱。人类要复兴 ,就应正视自身真正的本性 ,在人、自然及社会中建立一种平衡与和谐的物质与精神的关系

| Abstract: | This thesis is an analysis of D. H. Lawrence's characterization of women by comparing the characters. The characters discussed include Mrs. Morel, Miriam Levers and Clara Dawes in Sons and Lovers and Ursula Brangwen in The Rainbow and Women in Love. Through the analysis, the conclusion is drawned that, by his characterization of women in his novels, Lawrence seemed to say that people in the modern times are deluded with false assumptions and enervated due to perverse deviation from nature and humanity and therefore the regeneration of human beings lies in facing unflinchingly up to humanity in its true state and in establishing well-balanced, reciprocally complementing relations between soul and flesh and between man and woman. |
