| 摘 要： | 美国作家海明威以擅长塑造硬汉形象而著称于评论界,但这并非意味着他忽视了女性的存在。在短篇小说《雨中猫》与《白象似的群山》中,海明威将他的女性人物置于与其男性伴侣冲突的混乱当中,意在指出女性困惑的根源。海明威批评了那些以自我为中心,将女性看作是纯粹的附属品的男性,以同情的笔调描写着女性的欲望。

| Abstract: | Ernest Hemingway,one of the greatest American writers,is greatly praised for his masculine writing style by the critics.But He never ignores women＇s existence in his short novels,such as＂Cat in the Rain＂and＂Hills like White Elephants＂.Hemingway puts his female protagonists into the conflict with their male companions.Hemingway criticizes the egocentric man who considers women as mere adjunct,and he presents the female desire and sensibility from a sympathetic perspective. |
