| 摘 要： | 明代是我国人口发展的重要阶段。史书记载明代人口始终徘徊在６千万左右，根据近年来许多新的研究成果观察，这个数字并不真实。本文对明代人口的探索，初步确认明初人口为７千万左右，嘉隆之际人口已增至１亿２千万左右，这样雄厚的人力资源，对当时社会经济的发展，起到了非常重要的推动作用。至万历之后，由于天灾人祸交加，使人口大减。但到明清之际仍能保持１亿左右，毫无疑问，这给清代人口的大发展奠定了基础。

| Abstract: | Ming dynasty is an important stage of population growth of our country. By historical records the number of population of Ming dynasty remained at sixty millions. (60000000). However, many new results of study gained in recent years show that the statistics of population haven't the authenticity. Explored the population structure and condition of Ming dynasty, the author affirms the following numbers of population to be true: it was about seventy millions in the early period of Ming dynasty, it was around one hundred and twenty millions in the reign periods of two emperors of Jia Jing and Long Qing of Ming dynasty (i. e. middle period of Ming dynasty). Such rich human resoures as these had played a very important promotive role in the development of social economy at that time. Since the reign period of emperor Wan Li, because natural and man - made calamities had intensifyed each other, resulted in a sharp reduction in population. Reduced thought the numbers of population were, it still remained one hundred million at the turn of Ming and Qing dynasties. This doubtless had laid a foundation of the great growth of population in Qing dynasty. |
