认知隐喻理论在英语词汇教学中的意义及运用

摘    要:认知隐喻理论认为,隐喻在本质上是认知的,深植于人类的语言、思维和文化中。把隐喻理论应用到英语教学中,是隐喻研究发展的必然,也是英语教学的需要。从英语基本范畴词的理解、词义的延伸和新词的创造、词义的文化内涵等几个方面详释当代认知隐喻理论在词汇教学中的具体应用,以示隐喻在英语词汇教学中的强大实用意义。
