| 摘 要： | 语言深深扎根于文化这块土壤,要想真正掌握一门语言,就应系统了解该语言所属的文化。文章以一次调查为依据,论证英语语言教学中,尤其是英语词汇教学中,导入文化背景知识的重要性。由于东西方文化差异较大,同一词汇在不同文化中的内涵可能大相径庭,所以在英语语言教学中引入相关文化背景知识对于学生真正掌握英语有很大帮助。

| Abstract: | It is well-known that language is deeply rooted in its culture.One has to know the culture of the target language if he or she wants to use the language properly.Based on a survey,this paper argues that it is of great importance to teach the cultural background knowledge in English language teaching,esp.in the teaching of English vocabulary with culturally-loaded meaning.Since differences between the eastern and the western cultures exist,the same word may bear different connotations in different cultures.Therefore,the introduction of the cultural background knowledge in the teaching of English vocabulary is very helpful for students to learn English appropriately. |
