波兹曼“媒介即隐喻”理论的文化解读

摘    要:“媒介即隐喻”是尼尔·波兹曼《娱乐至死》的基本理论命题。该理论继承并发展麦克卢汉“媒介即讯息”理论,在对20世纪80年代美国电视媒体进行批判的同时,对媒介的文化力量进行了独特的揭示,指出了媒介具有强大暗示力,能够影响现实,定义现实世界乃至重构世界。这种理论话语对于反思当下中国社会的娱乐文化现实有着警惕和启发意义,特别是能够提醒媒介受众时刻保持应有的自我认知。

Abstract:"The medium is the metaphor" is one of the basic theoretical propositions of Neil Postman's "entertainment to death". Inherited from and developed on the basis of McLuhan's "The medium is the message" theory, the theory criticized American television media in 1980s, revealed from a unique perspective the cultural forces of the media, and suggested that the media have a powerful force capable of influencing reality, defining the practical world and restructuring the world. This theory is helpful in warning and enlightening the current entertaining culture in China, especially in reminding the audience of maintaining a proper self-perception.
