| 摘 要： | 胡适是一个十分矛盾的人物，他带着中国的问题与其宋学的家学渊源而理解美国，同时又以西学观念为前见理解中国。他观念中的美国与中国其实都是作为具有主观色彩的幻像而存在的。在美国，他代表的是东方文化；在中国，他又代表着西方文化。这种双重的身份带来的是他与两个世界的双重的疏离。胡适在中西文化上遭遇的解释学困境具有普遍的原型意义，他是中国现代性的化身。

| Abstract: | There are lots of conflicts in Hu Shi's mind. He comprehended America with Chinese problems and the preview of Song school and comprehended China with his knowledge learned from west at the same time. His conceptions about America and China are all subjective illusions. he represented oriental culture in America, and represented west culture in China. His double identities caused his double alienations from the two countries. This Cycle of hermeneutics which Hu Shi ever met has abounding representative meanings, It's the typical image of Chinese modernity. |
