| 摘 要： | 语言是一种符号,是表达我们外部世界和内心世界的工具。语言符号与所指物之间的关系一直以来是符号学家和语言学家所关心的问题。索绪尔（Saussure）的语言符号任意性的理论越来越站不住脚,取而代之的是美国著名符号学家皮尔斯（Pierce）提出的语言符号象似性观点越来越受到关注。其观点表明语言在其基本级阶,即词、句和语篇上都存在一定的象似性。

| Abstract: | Language is a kind of sign,which serves as the tool for us to express both of our outside and inner world.The relationship between a linguistic sign and the thing it refers to has always been a matter of concern for the semioticians as well as the linguists.The arbitrariness of the linguistic sign proposed by Saussure is becoming increasingly untenable.Instead,iconicity of the linguistic sign advanced by Pierce,the famous American semiotician,is attracting more and more attention.His theory of iconicity has proved that the basic levels of language,ie word,sentence and discourse are iconic to some extent. |
