| 摘 要： | 植树节在每年的3月12日。那一天，全国各地的人们都植树。为什么那么多的人在那天都植树呢？当然是为了改善我们被污染的环境了。在中国历史上，孙中山先生是第一个提出植树重要性的人。伟大的民主人士孙中山先生于3月12日去世。为了纪念孙中山先生，中国政府于1979年2月将3月12目定为中国植树节。

| Abstract: | Tree Planting Day is on March 12th. On that day, people all over China will plant trees. Why are so many people planting trees on that day？ To improve （改善） our polluted （被污染了的 ） environment（环境）, of course. In Chinese history, Sun Yat-sen （孙中山 ） was the first man to advocate （提倡 ） the importance （重要性 ） of planting trees. Our great Democrat Sun Yat-sen passed away （逝世）on the day. In February 1979, Chinese government decided March 12 to be national tree planting day to commemorate Sun Yat-sen. |
