IEEE 802.11协议直扩技术的实现

摘    要:802.11标准直扩技术主要是对网络的物理层(PH)和媒质访问控制层(MAC)进行了规定,其中对MAC层的规定是重点.同一物理层上可以互操作,逻辑链路控制层(LLC)是一致的,即MAC层以下对网络应用是透明的.这样就使得无线网的"(同网段内)多点接入"和"多网段互连",易于质优价廉地实现.

Abstract:The IEEE 802.11 specifications address both the Physical (PHY) and Media Access Control (MAC) layers and are tailored to resolve compatibility issues between manufacturers of Wireless LAN equipment. Direct sequence spread spectrum, also known as direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA), is one of two approaches to spread spectrum modulation for digital signal transmission over the airwaves. In direct sequence spread spectrum, the stream of information to be transmitted is divided into small pieces, each of which is allocated across to a frequency channel across the spectrum. A data signal at the point of transmission is combined with a higher data-rate bit sequence (also known as a chipping code) that divides the data according to a spreading ratio. The redundant chipping code helps the signal resist interference and also enables the original data to be recovered if data bits are damaged during transmission.
