| 摘 要： | 1996年至2000年的“九五”期间，中国近代史研究在许多领域中继续获得发展，取得了若干值得重视的成果，但与“九五”和“八五”期间相比较，中国近代史学科的突破性新进展则显得步伐较为缓慢，特别是在宏观审视以及新领域和新课题的拓展方面，发展的势头有所减缓。因此，近代史研究的进一步深入发展还有待于史学界做出相当艰辛的努力。

| Abstract: | During the Ninth Five year Plan (1996-2000), the study on Chinese modern history still progresses in many fields and some valuable achievements have been made. But compared with that in the Seventh and the Eighth Five year Plan, the pace for a breakthrough in modern history has been slowed down, especially in its macro observation and the development of new fields and topics of the study. Therefore, a further development in modern history study still waits for pain taking efforts of the historians. |
