| Abstract: | It was with the compradors' proposal and investment that the insurance industry developed in China. Because of their working experiences in foreign trades and capital strength, compradors became the first insurers in China. The development of our own insurance industry broke foreign companies' hold of the market and provided the modern industry and commerce with a necessary protection. |
