| Abstract: | The Education and Culture Foundation of China was a nongovernmental cultural and educational organization founded in 1920's. Most of its expenditure was the war loss indemnity of the year 1900 returned by America. Major Chinese trustees of this foundation were outstanding people in Chinese scientific and educational circles. They made full use of the stable funds to speed up the course of Chinese science and culture modernization. |
