再论大学英语读写课程教学模式的改革

摘    要:大学英语听说课程的兴起使教育研究者们不再把读写课堂作为他们的关注焦点,然而读写能力却始终是掌握语言最基本的能力之一。读写课程枯燥、低效的根本原因在于教育者们固守成规,没有让学生成为课堂的主体,没有把语言应用作为学习的目的。改革读写课堂应该让课堂摆脱教材和教师的束缚和管控,让学生充分发挥自主学习的能力,同时进一步开发教师作为学习指导者和帮助者的作用,最终为英语语言的实际应用服务。

Abstract:Educators seem to have shifted their concern from reading and writing classes to the burgeoning listening and speaking classes,despite the fact that reading and writing abilities are always the most basic abilities a language learner should command.The insipidity and inefficiency of the reading and writing classes root in the inactivity of students and the absence of correct study objectives.To reform this kind of classes means to free them from textbooks’ limitations and teachers’ dictatorship,to exert teachers’ functions as mentors and helpers,and to encourage students to own their classes and to learn for practical application.
