建构主义理论及其对大学英语写作教学的启示

摘    要:英语写作是英语综合应用能力的一个重要部分。写作的过程是语言输出的过程,也是一个问题解决的过程。学生英语写作能力的提高不仅需要拥有坚实的英语语言基础以及交际活动中与他人的良好合作,还需要主动建构新知识。建构主义强调情景、协作、会话和意义建构。它认为,知识不是通过教师传授得到,而是学习者在社会文明背景下,借助他人的帮助,利用必要的学习资料,通过意义建构的方式获得。建构主义理论对大学英语写作教学有着积极的启示。

Abstract:The process of writing is a process of language application and a process of problem solving as well.The improvement of the students' English writing not only requires their solid English language foundation,good cooperation with others in the communicative activities but also an active construction of their own knowledge.Constructivism emphasizes the learning surroundings,cooperation,discussion and meaning construction.According to constructivism,knowledge is not gained by means of the teachers' teaching but by the meaning construction with the help of others and with necessary materials in certain social surroundings Constructivism has positive implications for college English writing.
