| 摘 要： | 《麦琪的礼物》是美国著名短篇小说家欧.亨利的代表作。文章讨论了《麦琪的礼物》的叙事速度、叙事动力、悬念设置以及聚焦模式,认为小说没有以全知叙述者的身份从头到尾讲述故事,而是采用了加速叙事、减速叙事和聚焦变化等手段,增强了叙述的可信度和艺术魅力。

| Abstract: | The Gift of the Magi is one of O'Henry's representative works.This paper aims to elucide Henry's uniqueness in fictional narrative speed,narrative impetus,suspense and focalization.The author argues that the fiction is told by adapting the narrative device such as the change of the narrative speed and focalization instead of being told by an omniscient narrator,which improves the credibility and the artistic glamour of the story. |
