美国高中校长在角色冲突、角色承担和工作满意度上的性别差异

摘    要:在教育行政管理理论中,女性管理者的经验已经越来越受到人们的关注,有不少研究者对成功的女性主管进行了调查研究。一项对美国中西部三个州的高中校长的调查发现,在个人因素、职业特征及角色冲突上高中校长存在着性别差异,而在角色承担和工作满意度上不同性别具有相似性。文章致力于弄清性别在高中校长的角色冲突、角色承担和工作满意度三个方面的影响。

Abstract:In the theories of educational administration,the experience of female administrator has drawn much attention,and many researchers have studied on successful female administrators. A study on high school principals in three midwestern states of the United States has been made. The results indicates that there are differences between female and male high school principals in their personal and professional attributes as well as role conflict. There are similarities between female and male high school principals in terms of role commitment and job satisfaction.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of gender on role conflict, role commitment,and job satisfaction of the high school principals.
