| 摘 要： | 中华图书馆协会第一次年会是一次凝聚社会各界力量共谋图书馆事业大发展的成功盛会。本次年会健全了各种专门委员会，有力推进中国图书馆事业的科学化、现代化进程，促进图书馆学研究向纵深化发展，开启新图书馆事业的新纪元。其《宣言》高度阐明了近代图书馆的功用及鹄的，突出了近代图书馆的公平、无限制的教育职能，提升了图书馆的社会形象，既具历史价值，又富现实意义。

| Abstract: | The First Annual Meeting of the Library Association of Republic of China is a distinguished gathering of people from all walks of life for the great development of libraries. This meeting strengthens the establishment of various specialized committees, which helps a good deal to set Chinese libraries in scientific and modernized progression, gives impetus to the studies of the science of library, and marks a new era in the development of libraries in China. The declaration of this meeting states the functions and aims of modern libraries, emphasizes equality and zero restriction in the educational function of modern libraries and gives prominence to their social image. All these prove the social and historical significances of this meeting. |
