| 摘 要： | 在西部开发中，城市已成为开发和建设的重点，城市化是西部开发的主要切入点。西部城市化发展主要存在城市化水平低，质量差；城市数目较少，密度较低；城市规模较小，职能单一；城市体系不够完整，中心城市辐射作用不强以及城市地域分布极不平衡。西部地区目前正处于城市化缓慢发展阶段的后期，即将进入城市化加速发展时期。西部的城市化发展应采取合理发展大城市，积极发展中小城市，走多元化、集群化、可持续性的城市化道路。
