| Abstract: | This paper aims at analyzing the current situation of Chinese College students' Present Pragmatic Competence. It also gives some explanations of the importance of pragmatic competence and introduces the concept of pragmatic failure. The focus is on the causes of pragmatic failure in English learning and communication. The author also explores the ways of cultivating and developing students' pragmatic competence in English teaching. |
