| 摘 要： | 胡克提出民主既是一种政治制度,又是一种生活方式;民主政治有效行使最重要的要求是对统治者的不信任;英雄人物对民主社会是一种威胁,民主社会必须永远提防英雄。胡克的民主思想对我们进一步发扬民主作风,加强对领导干部的监督,防止腐败现象的发生和蔓延,避免出现个人崇拜,推进社会主义民主政治的健康发展,具有一定借鉴和启发意义。

| Abstract: | Sidney Hook put forward the thought that democracy was a way of life as well as a political system, and effective implementation of democratic polity mainly lain on the people's disbelief in the administrators. He also believed that heroes were a threat to democratic society, and democracy must always be on guard against heroes.Hook's democratic thought is of inspirational meaning to our process of promoting democratic way of doing things and enforcing our supervision on leaders. We can also draw lessons from his thoughts to prevent corruption and individual worship,and to push forward the healthy development of socialism democracy. |
