| 摘 要： | There are nearly 24,000 validated marine species in China, accounting for one sixth of the world total, which makes the country a key area for studies of marine biodiversity in the world, says Dr. Ian Poiner, chair of the International Scientific Steering Committee of the Census of Marine Life （CoML）, the largestever global marine biology research project.
