| Abstract: | This article reconstructs Feng Qi's theory of virtues from the following three angles: the relationship between the cultivation of virtues and ideal personality, the basic rules conducting moral actions and the values embodied in free virtues. Feng Qi's theory of virtues, in a sense, should be regarded as a summing up of the revolution of values in modern China, a response to the relative discussions of contemporary western philosophy and also a new starting point of the development of ethics in contemporary China. |
