Abstract: | Efforts by individual librarians and advocacy groups over the last ten years have resulted in greater awareness about Open Access. In recent years, some academic libraries have begun to raise awareness among both graduate and undergraduate populations. Through an online survey distributed to scholarly communications and e-resources listservs, this article documents some of the ongoing efforts now underway, and gauges how widespread the support is for similar initiatives. Both the literature review and survey responses underscore the importance of e-resource management tools to librarians involved in Open Access initiatives. |
