| Abstract: | This paper summarizes the methods for compiling a large scale Chinese idiom dictionary,namely,determination of rules and standards,adopting words accurately,taking innovative steps,taking advantage of latest research on linguistics as well as modern science and technology.The methods above discussed can also be used for reference when compiling other types of large scale Chinese dictionaries. |
