| 摘 要： | <红字>是纳撒尼尔·霍桑所著的一部关于道德、文化、宗教的经典作品,也是一部关于精神分析的有先见之明的杰作.本文拟从精神分析批评学的角度出发,以弗洛伊德的力比多理论为依据,指出白兰力比多升华的原因主要在于清教社会的束缚及其健全人格所提供的保障;白兰力比多升华的途径则在于将早期力比多升华成为爱的信念、艺术美的追求及对人们的博爱;白兰力比多升华的结果是实现了自己本能冲动的适当满足,也避免了自己力比多与社会的冲突,为社会文明发展做出了自己的贡献,从而最终成为人们认可和尊重的真正女主角.
