| 摘 要： | 宁波是外国传教士在华活动的重要地区之一,而"兴办医院,治病救人"是传教士接近中国社会下层阶级的有效办法。为此,由传教士创办的医院在宁波接踵而起。宁波华美医院是美国基督教浸礼会传教士在宁波开办的教会医院,是美国浸礼会在宁波传播基督教的重要基地。该院自创办以来适应中国国情与地方社会特点,同时得到了教会组织以及地方社会的大力支持,从而成为近代宁波最有影响力的公共医疗机构。不仅为提高近代宁波人的健康水平做出了贡献,而且推动了近代宁波人对西医乃至西方文明的认同与接纳。

| Abstract: | Ningbo Huamei Hospital was a church hospital which was set up by American Christian Baptist missionaries in Ningbo.It was an important base which U.S.Baptists spread the Christianity in China.Huamei hospital adapted to China's national conditions and social characteristics of local area.It got the support of church organizations and local community and became an influential public medical institution.It not only improved the health of Ningbo people,but also promoted Ningbo people to recognize and accept modern western medicine and western civilization. |
